Car Shows, Cruise-ins, Events

Serving Car Enthusiasts Of Maine & New Hampshire

Welcome

Please note that SHOWS and EVENTS are now combined on the same page, to help insure you do not accidentally overlook anything.

Just so you do not forget, the Maine Coastal Cruisers is putting on their first annual Super Cruise on July 12 & 13th. You really do not want to miss this spectacular event. As most of you are aware, Maine Coastal Cruisers always puts a lot of thought, planning and effort into all that they do, so this event is destined to be great time for all. Cruisin', dancin', eatin' and more. Check it out.

New galleries have been put up (Sanford & Sunapee), and a new Winner's Circle (Sanford). Check 'em out. Also new Funnies are now available (posted 6/29). SUPER CRUISE BALLOTING SCHEDULE - 2008: So far a total of over 170 ballots have been cast at 7 cruise-ins. HotKarz will hold balloting at 8 more locations before the trophies are awarded on August 10. Here is the remaining schedule, listing the dates and locations where Super Cruise balloting will take place. If inclement weather postpones a location, I will post a rain date on the blog, if applicable. (Schedule has been updated due to rain-outs). So, now y'all can plan ahead...

If you have been following our BLOG, you may already know that we would like to develop a "guide" for organizers who want to put together a successful car show. But we need your help in coming up with the guidelines. Please check out the rough draft and let me know what you would add, change or suggest by emailing me. Thanx!

SPECIAL: We and a few others are planning to make a Friday cruise over to Lincoln NH on July 18th, for the South Mountain Showdown Car Show on July 19th, and all HotKarz readers are welcome to join us - the more, the merrier. Thinking of having a Friday Morning Cruise over the Kancamagus Highway through the White Mountains, then perhaps take a ride on the Hobo Railroad, or visit the Flume, Lost River, or Clark's Trading Post. The Hobo Railroad is $12.00/person ($9.00 for children).

There are several places close to the show that offer accommodations. The best seem to be Comfort Inn and Profiles Motel & Cabins. Each is about $150/night. You must book early, as summer accommodations in Lincoln go fast.

If you plan on going with us as a cruise, please let me know not later than July 1 by emailing me. HotKarz will pick up the admission cost to the car show ($10) for the first 20 vehicles to sign up.

The Two Trails Cruisers have a new location for this years show, and have made a lot of good changes. Check out the details at the SHOWS page.

There are a few new galleries from cruises & Shows. Just click on GALLERY or WINNERS CIRCLE to the left to check 'em out.

The "Funny Pix" are now on their own Funnies Page. You can even submit your own, if you wish.

Have you seen these new WHIZZERS? Reminiscent of my youth, back in the glorious '50's. But these have been upgraded. With $4.00 a gallon gas, these get 120 mpg. Having one of these for "round the town" errands or commuting in good weather could save you a lot more than the cost, which I understand to be around $1800.

I'm not sure I ever really mentioned this before, but for all our loyal visitors (both of you), most stories and updates appear on the HotKarz blog. This home page would provide "hot topic" updates and general info. And specific info is found using the menu to the left. I only mention this because one gentleman who visits regularly was not aware of the blog.

Check out these B-B-Q grills for car folks, if you haven't seen them yet... (received these from an anonymous donor via email)

If any of you know of any show, cruise or event schedules and info not yet posted, please pass it on by emailing me directly at ptwoodycrew@aol.com.

ATTENTION PLEASE: HotKarz.com wants to show their appreciation to all those who sponsor cruises, and all of those wonderful people who attend those cruises and allow others to enjoy their cars.

So we have decided to offer our own "HotKarz Super Cruise" trophies this summer, and everyone who has 4 wheels powered by something other than a mammal is eligible to win (except me, of course).

Here's how it works (I hope)

So, I guess you will just have to come visit HotKarz.com every week. But that's OK - you will find a lot to entertain you. We post pictures of the shows and cruises, pics of the winners, a few comedy pix, a Featured Car of the Month, classifieds, a blog and more. So please make HotKarz.com a regular spot to visit.

Now, break out the polish and window cleaner....the season is upon us :o)

Bill, Robin & Criss

HotKarz.com is a free site dedicated to car enthusiasts throughout northern New England.

We do need your help. Obviously, we cannot attend all the shows/cruises throughout northern New England. So, we very much would like to get your input. Send pictures, stories, articles or tell us of a show/cruise or event that we have missed.

Advertisers may also advertise on this site, and a good portion of ad revenue (25%) will be donated to your own state's local charities. For example, if you are a Maine business, your advertising dollars would go to local charities in Maine. Please contact us for more information, or visit our advertising & rates page.

So, please feel free to make your suggestions, or send in your stories by emailing us , or catch us at one of the cruise-ins or shows - we are Bill, Robin & Criss Vaughn with the PT Woody Beach Wagon (see below). We attend many cruises and shows throughout southern Maine and New Hampshire, and sometimes get to some of the shows in Vermont.

We hope that everyone interested in hot cars and cool wheels throughout northern New England will come together to help make this website a fun and informative place to spend some time. Although I am not always on top of things, I will do my best to keep everything updated and organized. (A new experience for me, to be sure :o)

And don't forget to look for your own Hot Kar on this site - you never know when or where our shutter bug will strike!
